Grandview Receives $100,000 Challenge Gift

Mr. Sandy Satullo II, Board of Trustees treasurer and father of Grandview senior Sandy Satullo III, has posed a challenge gift for the 2013 – 2014 Grandview Preparatory Annual Fund: Mr. Satullo will donate $100,000 to the annual fund once the school reaches $100,000 in donations.

“This challenge is a fabulous way to kick off our annual fund and make it even more worthwhile for the Grandview community to donate,” said head of school Jackie Westerfield. “Mr. Satullo’s generosity is felt throughout the school.”

Westerfield hopes to raise the first $100,000 by the evening of the 2013 Grandview Gala, Nov. 15.

“We will have a lot to celebrate that evening if we reach our goal,” Westerfield stated.

Because Grandview Preparatory School is a non-profit school, it depends on an annual fund for critical support in academics, performing and visual arts, athletics, service learning, financial aid, technology, faculty and staff development… generally every area of school life.  Much of the annual fund support helps to underwrite the scholarship fund, which affords underprivileged students the opportunity for a college preparatory education.
