Leo the Lion Travels the Globe with Grandview Families and Friends

From Europe to Asia, Maine to Oklahoma, Mexico to Hawaii, and right here in Florida, Leo the Lion traveled the globe this summer with Grandview families.  Rendered by alumna Adrianna Cournoyer ‘06,  Leo brought the Grandview community together over social media as families dispersed over the summer months.

A highlight of Leo’s summer was a helicopter ride high above the hills of Afghanistan with some of our brave soldiers serving overseas.  This ride was made possible by fifth grade student Daniel West, whose sister, Sgt. Chloe Wells, is currently serving in Afghanistan.

Daniel West was one of the Looking for Leo Contest winners, along with alumna Margaret Dickey, seniors Kai Darling and Karoline Strasser, middle school student Victoria Gallestegui, lower school students Christian and Andrew Smolinski and Zoe Barding, and teacher Bob Sack.

Thanks to all students, parents, alumni, and faculty who brought Leo on their summer adventures and submitted wonderful photos of their Grandview pride.
