The Grandview Color Garden, now in it’s third year, is truly a collaborative venture. The garden is technically tended to by our fifth grade students and students in Mrs. Kubach’s environmental science class, but it provides a great opportunity for all students to work together during house activities. The goal of the house activity for the month of September was to replace the soil in each of the beds and plant flowers, vegetables, and herbs that correspond to the house colors in their assigned beds. Although some of the work was curtailed by rogue Florida rainstorms, our students had a blast working together to prepare the garden for the fruitful year ahead.
