It was a lofty goal– to raise $100,000 by the evening of the 2013 Grandview Gala. This summer, Board of Trustees treasurer Sandy Satullo II promised a challenge gift of $100,000 if that same amount was raised for the Annual Fund. With the help of over 230 generous attendees and supporters, we exceeded that goal.
Gala attendees enjoyed a silent auction and raffle with many great items, including a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Golf Resort, tickets to a Miami Dolpins game, and limited-edition Montecristo cigars. During the silent auction, guests enjoyed hamming it up in the photo booth… some of the results of which are below:
Following the silent auction, patrons enjoyed dinner in the ballroom,
and performances by these talented and amazing students, Acapride.
The live auction featured many amazing experiences donated by some very generous Grandview families:
- Long-weekend stays at the Trump International Hotel in New York City, donated by Karen Swartz
- Spring break in Deer Valley, Utah, donated by Allan Frankle
- A private getaway to Amelia Island, including the use of a private plane, donated by the Greene Family
- A week in Seacoast New Hampshire, donated by Karen Swartz
- VIP tickets to a Miami Heat game, donated by Doug Peters
Thanks to our generous donors and auction winners for making this event such a success! And of course, thanks to Mr. Satullo for his gift of $100,000.
