Celebration of Life Brings Smiles to All!

Each year, our upper school hosts a holiday party for children in the special needs program at a nearby elementary school.  It is the only field trip these students and their teachers have during the school year, as transportation costs are quite high.  The Grandview Preparatory School community generously sponsors their transportation, activities, and even personalized goody bags for the event, and our upper school students serve as buddies to the children.

This year, the event began with a performance of “All I Want for Christmas” by the Grandview Dance Company.

Students were then able to escort their buddies to the activities.  The children had a blast in the bounce house, were treated to holiday story time, had arts and crafts time, took pictures with Santa, decorated cookies, ate cotton candy, and played outdoor field games.

Although we are not able to post pictures of their amazing interactions, here are a few photos to help you understand how special this day is to all involved!
